About me… in the third person

Thanks for stopping by. Mandy Howard is an award winning freelance journalist, writer and public speaker.

She has published hundreds of articles on topics ranging from politics and religion to parenting and sports. She has been recognized for her writing by the Parenting Media Association and the Catholic Press Association and had an article reprinted in the Writer’s Digest: Yearbook.  She has been published in a wide range of national and regional magazines, including Redbook, Writer’s Digest, Military Officer Magazine, Midtown Magazine, Raleigh Magazine, NC Catholics, Videoscope, Cary Magazine and  Carolina Parent. 

In addition to writing, Mandy has been a featured speaker and panelist at writer’s conferences, industry meetings and retreats.

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Mandy graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Sport Management. She currently lives in Raleigh, NC, with her Forged in Fire obsessed husband, three awesome kids and two spoiled doggies.
